Last Dayz in Tokyo

sunny 19 °C

So on Christmas nite we decided to hit the town... we found a pretty cool little bar and had a few drinks.. everyone is really friendly here - within 2 seconds we got invited to sit with a random group but they were all really nice and cool! everyone here is as crazy as me its great! they all dance like me too i think we even got up on the chairs which were bar height and danced on there for ages... had sooo much fun! Oh we met some extra famous American wreslter guy... i wouldnt have a clue who he is but they were tryna explain that its the same as if Delta Goodrem sat at our table... which i thought was pretty funny... me and brendon got a photo with him so when i put it up anyone who can name him will get a prize! Oh we also got shouted a few glasses of the most expensive Moet (i think it was $300-$400 - coz of club prices) They love there Moet and Dom over here - its great! On a downer my wallet got stolen! it had all my credit cards/flexicards/visa debit card - but noone used them so i just cancelled them and just loading all my money onto my cash passports so thats okay! And i'm getting my credit card sent ova to the England to Ollie! Tokyo at nite-time is sooo bizarre! The nite-life is crazy even on a weekday! Everyone hit it pretty hard! Oh and there are crazy prostitute massage artists that try and suck you into there shops! They caught brendon and told him 2 girls for $20! Oh and that they accept amex and visa! hahahaha...

Yesterday (Boxing Day) we kinda just bummed around for ages... i was a little depressed ova my wallet so i just had a bath (which is sooo big and deep - and no water restrictions) We eventually got up and got McDonalds but no McGriddles today - i just went with the safe option but Brendon got some mega monster pepper burger! We decided to book our helicopter flighty thing but they said it left from Disneyland - so we decided at 5.00pm to just go to Disneyland... :-) It was sooo cool! I finally saw my castle... the only one i've ever wanted to see... and it was all lit up it looked beautiful! We saw the lights show and went on a few rides... coz it was late at nite the wait was only around 20 mins! it was soo good! The space rollercoaster was the best - its was all blacked out so you couldnt see the track! I bought the cuttest glass tinkerbell! And a tiny fantasia mickey hat! I got Akaylah little Minne Mouse ears you clip on! they are just sooo cute! When we were waiting in line all these little kids were looking at us and pulling their eyes back to make "wide eye" it was pretty funny! Brendon was teaching them to say G'day mate! The subway is sooo easy to navigate - its great! So logical and cheap!

Today is our last few hours in Tokyo - we are leaving here at around 1.00pm! Catching the bullet train to Nagano! Should be good there coz its more tradional Japanese and i cant wait to jump into the hot springs! I cant load any photos up at the moment coz i brought the wrong cord along!

Japan

Tokyo - Day 2

MErRY ChrIStMAs EverYONe

Okay... so today we really had no plan... nothing really opens around here until 10.00 - bizarre! We thought we would walk to Tokyo tower... and we wanted bacon and eggs for breaky... so we went the safe option and went to McDonalds... well we were soooo wrong! We got a bacon and egg McGriddle combo, they were the only breakfast menu items, the hash brown was normal but.... the McGriddle consisted of bacon, eggs, cheese in between two pancakes with maple syrip! i had to just eat the bacon and eggs seperate and then the pancake... sooo gross! Then we went onto Tokyo tower - its pretty tall... tokyo really just goes on forever with tall buildings! We bought some funny things... there mascot at Brendon put it

"looks like a butt plug"

we also took some funny photos in one of those sticker machines! Brendon has fully given up on trying to speak Japanese now, he just says "g'day mate" to them all... its pretty funny! He also came out with the best one liner as he said in Steve Irwin style

"the subway is like a crocodile, you never know where its gonna pop up"

i think only people that have been to Japan would understand! But it made me cry from laughter! We also got 1hr massages, they were pretty good... I have found a mega shop that i love and i've fully embraced Japanese fashion - they are my people (they only ever wear skirts and heels) its great... i've bought heaps of funky tights and stuff! We just had sushi before - its was soo yummy! We also hit the 7eleven - they sell alcohol alongside the coke and stuff which was pretty trippy! and i bought heaps of lollies thingys! I also got mini tini donuts! mmm... Last nite we went to a cocktail bar... sooo yummy there were like 100 to choose from and they were really cheap only $7.50! We went thru a few! Dunno wat we're doin tonight... most likely hittin the town... founds heaps of cool bar to drink at! Oh i walked past a bank today and the line was out the door... literally! So now i dont feel bad - if anyone ever complains about our service i'll just tell them to go to Japan (if any of my boss's are reading this i'm kidding... i would never do that!) hahaha.... Oh last nite there was the best punk compilation of x-mas songs we are going to buy it (it is in english) we just have to find a HMV!

Tokyo

Hey everyone,

Well we are finally here in Japan! The flight was pretty good... I made the quote "i love flying" and i'm still sticking with it - 10 lovely hours on the plane but it felt like 3! Brendon did pretty well considering that he was sick! We got into Narita airport at around 8.30pm then we had to catch an airport bus to the grand hyatt which was another 2 hours... When we finally got to our apartment it was around 11.30 (thats Japanese time which is currently 2hrs behind melbourne time) then our black taggy thing didnt work to let us in and i think the conceirge thought we were lying about staying here, but after some persistance he let us in! We are staying in Roppongi which is really cool, lots happening and everything is a really short walk! The toilet and shower tripped us out a bit its all automatic so it flushes for you, warms the seats etc.. luckily Estela (the cleaner) helped us out coz we were really lost! Today we just went to the Ginza strip and looked around, it was pretty hectic, Brendon said we could only walk past the stores and we couldnt go in them - which was quite painful! We also succesfully navigated the subway, which i am proud of! Oh at our apartment they have the cutest cat, its like garfield, we dont have them in Australia but its the biggest fluffiest thing ever! and its got a squashed pug like face! The Japanese celebrated Christmas today (24th) - but i said nope i'm doing it tomorrow! There heaps of christmas trees and naughty mrs claus outfits (which i found pretty weird and their like $80). I think we are going to do a helicoptor flight over Tokyo tomorrow nite which should be awesome - havent got many cool photos yet but i suppose technically its only day 1! Its not very cold here, i was walking around in my thongs all day but nite-time is pretty chilly. Oh brendon keeps tryna give people too much money so i'm not letting him touch it he bought something that was $30 and handed over $300! Its funny coz he'll speak Japanese to someone and when they respond he wont know what to say! hahaha... I'm lovin the vending machines everywhere... they can be found in the most random places! I'm gonna hit the all you can eat sushi bar tomorrow as well... mmm its like a dream!
Oh Cassie - i was watching The Nightmare Before Christmas : in japanese - it just made jack skellington look/sound riduculous i should get it on dvd for you! hahaha...

Anyways probably should go.. hopefully next time i'll have some really good photos to put up!
Luvs ya's all - Merry Christmas to everyone for tomorrow!
xxx
